Pasta addicted

Hi guys, today I cooked my favorite delicious spaghetti for lunch. The sauce is an own creation - yes, I´m very proud! In the past I always used finish sauces, but it´s not the same like self-made sauce. For sure I used cans tomatoes, but it´s a quick variety instead to use fresh tomatoes. In my mind this dish tastes like original Italy spaghetti. You must absolutely try it! Moreover it´s a very easy recipe and you don´t require more than 20 minutes. I think it´s very student friendly and a perfect dish for getting visits!

Ingredients:
Spaghetti
2 cans tomatoes
1 pepper
1/2 of a sheep´s cheese
olives
3 carrots
1 onion
1-2 pieces garlic
chilli

How to make Italy spaghetti – step by step:

Step 1: take onion, pepper, carrots and cut all into bite-size pieces
Step 2: put these ingredients into a pan and steam the vegetable for circa five minutes

Step 3: meanwhile fill the tomatoes into add bowl and put sheep´s cheese, garlic, olives and chilli– flavor this sauce with salt, pepper and one tsp. Provençal herbs

Step 4: put the mix into the pan with the vegetable and boil up for circa 10 minutes -
at this time you can begin to cook the spaghetti

Step 5: for decoration use some herbs and parmesan

Et voilà - the result of my favorite original Italy sauce!

By the way, tomorrow it´s time to bake the first Christmas cookies for this year! I decided to bake vanilla crescents and nut wedges. I never baked these cookies before, so I´m very glad and exited. You may be curious!

Love Tea

It´s so cold and grey outside – very uncomfortable. For sure, I love autumn but I hate dark days! Always, when time permitting, I cuddle myself under a blanket, look a good movie and drink a cup of tea. In my mind, tea is very comforting and relaxing. Today I would like to show you my favorite sorts! In this box I keep all my tea, because it´s looking very great in the kitchen, it´s decoration as well. This sorts beginning at herbal tea over black and green tea up to fruit tea. I like herbal tea very much. A lot of people join this one with illness or so on, but for me it´s simple relaxing. Moreover I never drink coffee, therefore tea is my caffeine in the morning. In these times I drink green or black tea. At the moment, ginger orange from Meßmer it´s my favorite.

My favorite morning tea! This one taste delicious and healty too, because ginger is very good for your body.

Last Christmas, my parents given me this cast iron can – tea tastes fantastic. Probably it´s the can or the look – I don´t know. But fact is: People who like to drink a lot of tea, need to have a good tea can because it´s belong to a good cup of tea.

I´m very interesting, what are your favorite sorts of tea? I´m happy about your experience reports!

Vegetable Cannelloni

Have you ever made your weekly purchasing on Saturday? I know it´s terrible! The stores are crowded and queues suck! But sometimes waiting is an advantage, because at cash desks are things like the magazine “Meine Familie & Ich”. I bought the magazine because the cover is with a lot of Christmas cookies! Yummy!  I think it´s too early to bake some Christmas cookies. But in the magazine are a lot of other recipes.

In “Meine Familie & Ich” is a booklet, with a lot of cheap and quick recipes. Therefore it´s perfect for students! The vegetable cannelloni affected me a lot. So today I tried to make some cannelloni. :-) The Pictures in this booklet are delicious, but I was afraid that´s doesn´t look the same.

Ingredients:
-          1 onion
-          1 clove of garlic
-          1 zucchini
-          1 pepper
-          2 carrots
-          2 tomatoes
-          Olive oil
-          200 g gouda and one mozzarella
         250 g cannelloni

       béchamel sauce:
-          1 tsp butter
-          1 tsp flour
-          Salt, pepper
-          1-2 tsp oregano
-          500 ml milk
-

How to make cannelloni – step by step:

Step 1: clean the vegetable with water and cut into bite-size pieces

Step 2: braise lightly the vegetable in a pan for ca. 5 minutes
Step 3:  leave to cool down and put tomates and cheese into the vegetable

Step 4: fill the vegetable-mix into the cannelloni and put it into a oiled oven dish
Step 5: Put the sauce over the cannelloni and take some cheese

Step 6: Put the oven on 180 degree and put the cannelloni in it for 30 minutes

My result:  Yes, it´s cheap but not really quick. It´s complicated to do the vegetable into the cannelloni. I convert the recipe a little bit for example I used other vegetable and the sauce was a little bit boring, so I prefer more spices. And I used gouda and mozzarella, too. It tastes incredible, but looked not perfect. Therefore it´s not the best meal for guests.
