Christmas insights

Hi guys, the Christmas days are over now and probably you know that: all the days you are eating, eating, eating. Of course, it’s very delicious, but some day it´s enough. Today I will show you some insights of our Christmas food.

I was glad that I hadn’t so much work during the holidays because every day we were eating by one of the family. Besides my mother and my mother-in-law are fantastic cooks! I helped my mother a bit in the kitchen but it wasn´t my task to cook. Moreover on two days we were eating outside – that´s always good. This Christmas I only baked the chocolate cake – this is very delicious and looks very good. This cake is not only for Christmas, you can eat it all over the year. This recipe I have from a wonderful food blog, have a look at: http://lebutiksofie.blogspot.de/2012/12/xmas-cake.html

Here you can see some insights of my Christmas 2012!

I wish you a Happy New Year with a lot of new recipes!

A little Chinese

A few weeks ago my boyfriend was on a job-related China trip. Of course he brought me many beautiful gifts. For example he bought me Chop sticks and small green Buddha figures. These beautiful Chinese accessories gave me the idea to cook a delicious Chinese meal. Firstly my boyfriend wasn’t very excited about this idea, because he was done with Chinese food. Besides the Christmas holidays with a lot of food are just over. But today I cooked a Chinese meal. I know, it isn’t really Chinese but honestly I don’t have a good recipe. Therefore I would appreciate to get real Chinese recipes!

Original Chinese Chop sticks

Ingredients:

Vegetable (you can choose your favorites)

Mie Noodles

Uncle Bens sauce

Soy sauce

Pepper/salt

This meal is very simple. You cut the vegetable into bite-size pieces and steam it for 10-15 minutes. Than you put the Uncle Bens sauce to the vegetable and season it with soy sauce, pepper and salt. Meanwhile you cook the Mie Noodles like the package label says. It tastes good, but next time I will cook a self-made sauce. I think it´s better than finished products.

By the way, I hope you had nice Christmas holidays. Tomorrow I will write a posting about my Christmas days with a lot of great food!
